What is Kybella?

Kybella is an injectable compound of deoxycholic acid. It 

works by releasing the unwanted fat into the blood stream where it can be naturally absorbed, processed, and metabolized by your own body. Studies show that Kybella’s effect is greater than some of the existing fat-dissolving mixtures such as Mesotherapy.

How does it work?

Unlike liposuction and surgical reconstruction of the chin, Kybella is a non-invasive injectable treatment with the whole procedure taking no more than 30 minutes. The treatment does not require maintenance as the destruction of fat cells is permanent. Injections needed may vary per patient and changes are typically visible within a few weeks of the first treatment. Post-treatment effects may include swelling, bruising, numbness and redness in the treated area.
